Boy, what a whirlwind! While I was there, I felt like I was going a 100 miles per minute, but now that I look back upon the journey, it was good.
Yes, as you all know, we didn’t win. We missed the title by one point. Yes, it was heartbreaking. It will be a learning experience for us.
Thank you for giving me a standing ovation for my speech. It really meant a lot to me. I didn’t know if I would be able to get the whole thing out because it was so emotional and close to home for me.
I have already congratulated all the winners and also Jan (who ran for Ms. SELF), but I would just like to congratulate them again because they will do the South East proud!
Everyone who spoke to me before the contest, I appreciate your advice. One of the tidbits of advice was to have fun with it. I can look back and say that I did have fun.
